Practices & Meets

Practices

Practice is offered five days a week, weather permitting. Team members are encouraged to come to practice at least three days a week. Swimming is a great way to get in shape. It builds upper and lower body strength as well as aerobic capacity, without joint stress. Swimming can improve your performance on the soccer field and basketball court as well as in the pool! The more you practice, the better you’ll get.

Our coaches encourage attendance by making practice sessions fun. Reinforcing the link between effort and achievement is the keystone of our club philosophy. All team members who improve their performance receive “Personal Best” pins every week. Team members who show a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are eligible for “Stars of the Week” recognition in our weekly newsletter and on the website.

Practice Options for 10 & Unders

To provide for greater family scheduling flexibility, 10 & under swimmers are offered morning or afternoon practice times. Be sure to choose one option — either morning or afternoon — as your practice time for the entire summer season.

Meets

Swim meets are offered every Saturday throughout the summer – dive meets are on Friday evenings. Our team members are encouraged to participate in meets, but attendance is not required. Swimmers will be asked to confirm their attendance for each Saturday meet on the Wednesday before the meet. If your decision changes after this date we ask that you contact your coach immediately, so the proper adjustments can be made.

The All-City League requires that team members participate in a minimum of 3 meets throughout the summer to be allowed to participate in All-City.
